• 'Gim' means seaweed or laver, and the means of Musan is not the name of local area, but the name given by acid-free in the process of laver farming. So Jangheung MusanGim is the first eco-friendly laver in Korea by acid-free in farming. It is Korea's representative eco-friendly laver.
• 'MusanGim' as pristine method without any acids in farming : The pristine method is to be exposed just natural light and sea breeze instead of spraying acids, as a result, to remove miscellaneous useless seaweeds and laver diseases. Acid-free laver of MusanGim is similar to pesticide-free in terms of agricultural products. Jangheung fishermen turn over the floating laver nets frequently for exposing the laver in order to prevent the attachment of miscellaneous useless seaweeds and laver diseases, because the laver can stand the natural light and sea breeze, but miscellaneous useless seaweeds and laver diseases be endurable.
• 'Jangheung MusanGim Co.' was founded in 2009 by Musan laver producers, and in 2023 acquired the first international ASC-MSC certification in the laver industry globally.
